Everly's Cake Smash | Studio Mini Session

Everly turns one over the Christmas holidays so Tamara and Jason came in a few weeks before her birthday to celebrate.  Everly is definitely on the move and even a beautiful and yummy cake couldn't keep her attention for long!  Good thing there was a lot of cake left because I think Jason was hoping for that!  Here she was just 6 months ago and I love that her hair is taking it's sweet time coming in, it reminds me of my own daughter!

Joshua Turns Two | Family Mini Session

Last year we did Joshua's 1st birthday photos closer to his actual birth date and you can see them here.  Going earlier this year it was a bit warmer and then they could get a family photo for their Christmas cards too!  I left a few out in case those are the ones they are going to use:)  

Joshua is sooooooo full of energy.  He didn't want to be held and just wanted to run, run, run!  We were able to contain him for a few photos as he liked the wagon, picnic table and bench.  

The rain and clouds came on so strong just as we were wrapping up on the veranda.  If you're curious, I was shooting ISO 2000 at that point!

Baby Tyler | Newborn Session

Last year I took photos for Kirra's second birthday which was one of my favourite sessions; she was sooooo adorable!  Now, just a year later, she is a big sister!  I went to Cam and Karen's home when Tyler was just one week old AND they had moved into their home just TWO days before!!  Isn't that wild?! Wow.  

Kirra is the sweetest big sister and was so gentle with little Tyler.  Lots of love going on.  I love the shots of Kirra and Tyler together.  Enjoy!

Lauren, Olivia & Claire | Christmas Mini Session

I have known this family for about 6 years or so when they used to watch my little Kai Bear (who is now 7.5!).  We are also in the same neighbourhood so we see each other often.  I have been so thankful to photograph these girls each year because they are so sweet and they make it so easy!  I'm pretty sure they never blink and smiles never leave their faces.  Their love for each other is so evident.  Beautiful family, yes?

Madison | Mini Christmas Session

Maddie is a buddy of Koen's and she moved away about 6 months ago.  I was happy to hear that Christina wanted another mini session because that meant that the kids could play afterwards!  Last year I did a mini session with her in several beautiful Christmas dresses and this year she had three different ones to model :)  

I do not do a lot of studio photos as I much prefer natural light, but, given the cold and dark weather in the winter, I do love the option!  I think Maddie looks adorable.  Merry Christmas Maddie!

Caden, Cole & Brady | Clayton Mini Session

I love this family and these three little guys are special as I was there when each of them were born.  Such special memories!  I love Ali and value our friendship; she is honest with her advice (I need that!) and thoughtful.  

 We just had a mini session at a local field and somehow with the sun shining, it looks like they were actually warm.  My favourite moment was when I was crouched down trying to get a photo of little Brady and I asked Caden to help me to get him to smile.  Caden jumped on my back and Brady smiled :)
