Brielle Turns One| Campbell Valley Family Session

A couple of weeks ago, I met this lovely family. Crystal and Jeremy wanted some family photos to celebrate their little girl, Brielle, turning one. They also have two older sons which means their family is the same as ours! I am so thankful that last minute they were able to move their session up one day as the next day's forecast was not looking good. We had some beautiful evening light and three amazingly well behaved kids (I need to work on my boys a little more!).

I loved this session and I hope you do too! Happy 1st birthday, Brielle!

{I got this gorgeous antique doll carriage a few weeks back and can't wait to use it on my own little girl!}

Crystal and Jeremy, it was great to meet you two (and your wonderful kids). I hope you have a wonderful week celebrating your little girl!

Katrina & Brayden | Pitt Lake Engagement Session

I was really looking forward to this engagement session. Such a great couple and a fun location! Being that their wedding is taking place in January, a super summer session was perfect. Sometimes sessions are about getting to know a couple and sometimes it's about catching up with them! I taught Katrina when she was just in grade 8 (and again in grade 9 and 11!) and I've known Brayden and his family all along too.

Katrina (I hope she thinks this isn't a bad thing) reminds me so much of myself in regards to being organized and needing to know everything. This made surprising her for the proposal quite a bit more elaborate than just a `regular' engagement...it is a wild story!.

So, here are some photos of a bright summery evening engagement session. Aren't they so cute?:)

Katrina and Brayden, we are totally looking forward to your big day which is just over 5 months away. Yippee!

Amanda & Chris | Burnaby Wedding Photos

It was beautiful and sunny for Amanda and Chris' big day. Gary taught Amanda (and 3 of her bridesmaids!) back when she was in grade 8 which makes us feel old but also makes the wedding a bit more special. Being that we have a newborn, Gary photographed the wedding with Frances of Frances Eden Creative. This was the first time Gary and I have not photographed a wedding together (after probably 50 weddings together!) and I cannot thank Frances enough for her hard work and wonderful images!

I did photograph the first hour of the day or so because I really did want to be with them for part of the their day:) So, I met Amanda and Anna at the salon (check out the sweet volume in her hair!)...

{Frances met the girls at Amanda's home and took over from there!}

{Gary met up with the guys at the hotel where they may have been googling `how to fold a suit pocket square':)}

{The ceremony took place at New Westminster CRC}

{I wonder what he was whispering to her above}

{I love how Amanda is grabbing Chris' jacket lapels to bring him in for the kiss:)}
{And then it was off to Burnaby Mountain for the portraits!}

{Amanda's parents have a wedding photo similar to the one below...}

{The wedding party then went to Glenbrook Park Amenities Centre for their reception and Gary got a few more photos of the full wedding party there.}

{I haven't seen a wedding party do a team cheer before, but I like it!}

Amanda and Chris, thank you so much for having us (and Frances!) be part of your day. We wish you all the best in Kelowna as you continue on as husband and wife!
