Julie-Ann and Thomas: Wedding Day

What a beautiful day. I love how each wedding has it's own personality to keep it interesting for us! The theme of the day was pure excitement. Julie-Ann said, `I'm so excited!' about 50 times while I was taking photos of them getting ready:) This wedding wins two awards and they are; `The Most Excited Bride' and `The Super Smiley Couple'. Here we go....
{Julie-Ann joked that she chose her bridesmaids just because they were so beautiful. Aren't they though? Check out the excited face below.}
{I love the look below where she's trying to calm herself down:)}
{Julie-Ann, you looked so beautiful!!}
{Signing the guest book....people often use their engagement photos to make a guest book. I highly recommend it!!}
{The moment above, where dad and bride are about to walk down the aisle, is usually when the bride is the most nervous. I know that is what was hardest for me! You will now see why they win `The Super Smiley Couple' award....}

{After the receiving line and a standing reception, we went off to Ellwood Park in Abbotsford.}
{The wedding party was full of ideas, some were very random like the guys two shots down....}

{Apparently Julie-Ann and Thomas were making their wedding party a little tired of all the kissy business.}
{I LOVE the shot above and to the right. And look below, the birds flew by just in time!}
{And then it was off to the reception where the dads were the emcees! Check out how hard the girls are laughing while the groomsman (ex-roommate) gives his speech.}

Congratulations Julie-Ann and Thomas. We loved being a part of your day and we're really happy for you two. We hope you are having a wonderful time on your honeymoon and I'm sure we'll see you around!

Julie-Ann and Thomas: Sneak Peek

I am now delving into this wonderful wedding and I thought I would just share a couple of pictures. If you haven't read my previous post, each wedding gets an award (last one got `My Favourite Dress'). I already know which 2 awards this one is getting...but you'll have to come back and find out:) Check out their smiles as they look at each other, they were like this all day long!

Kimberly & Tyler: Wedding Day

We had a great time taking pictures of these two on their wedding day. Kimberly was so excited to be getting her hair done because she was the bride this time! Kim is usually the one doing the bride's hair for weddings and we've done a bunch together. I also know Kim for another reason, she is yet another student that I taught way back in grade 9! I don't want to insult any other brides but I just need to say that Kim wins the category of `My Favourite Dress'. I loved it. I will be giving random awards for each wedding from now on:) Okay, enough of an intro, let's get to the pictures!!
{Kim lives super close to us so that was nice! What a beautiful group of girls getting ready...}
{They actually got their dresses on in the room at the Chateau Cargill, where the ceremony was. Totally cute (and warm) room}

{Check out the grand entrance below! She met her dad at the bottom of the stairs. I also love the idea of rose petals lining the aisle, rather than scattered all over.}

{Kimberly and Tyler wanted to go to two different locations for their formal photos. The sun was super bright which always makes things challenging but at least it wasn't raining!! First off...Crescent Beach. Check out that beautiful bouquet!}

{The picture below and to the right is my favourite. It helps that I love her dress and the beach!}
{The picture above is of the girls after attempting their `sexy look'. I won't say who they are laughing at:)}
{There are some great shots of the guys jumping in the background, especially the facial expressions on the guys to the far left:)}
{The rest of these formal shots were taken at Campbell Valley as they wanted some field and pond type shots. I love variety!!}
{Who doesn't love a giant field?!}

{Every time we mentioned that they might want to kiss or have Tyler kiss her cheek, Tyler would give a little smile:) It was really sweet.}
{Classic picture on the bottom left!}
Congratulations to you, Kim(berly) & Tyler. Thank you so much for inviting us to share in your day. I hope that you guys had a fabulous honeymoon to start off your lifelong journey together!!

Baby Charlotte

Just a little mini session with a super cute 2 week old and her energetic, adorable, big sister. Both girls did wonderfully and next time I'll have to get some with their mom and dad:) Look at that hair...so cute! My kids were bald until well...Koen still is. Congratulations on the arrival of baby Charlotte, she is such a sweetie.

Kimberly & Tyler: Sneak Peek #1

Okay, so this isn't a good sneak peek in regards to wedding photos but I like it. I will post a better sneak peak tomorrow okay? (**Upadated: no sneak peek until Friday at least!**) These are three girls that I taught back in grade 9 science (okay, not Lynn but Gary taught her) and I loved being part of their big day:) Aren't they lovely?

Sarah & Daryl: Wedding Day

What a BEAUTIFUL day. Okay, I know I said it in the sneak peek, but it really was. There is something so wonderful about an outdoor ceremony, but maybe I'm biased because ours was one too:) Sarah and Daryl hired us for the ceremony and portrait portion so that's why you won't be seeing any photos of them getting ready or the reception.
{The ceremony was at a beautiful farm in the Sumas Flats}

{Although we had only met with Sarah & Daryl once before, I felt a connection with them as Sarah also lost her mom just a few years before (my mom passed away 4 years ago). Her mom was remembered and honoured throughout the ceremony. }
{There were a few special kids involved in the wedding party and they definitely added to the overall beauty of it}
{You can see the clouds getting a little wilder in the background! This was the one wedding where we didn't bring our umbrellas because it was supposed to have perfect weather!!}

{Sarah's dad has remarried and Sarah now has a new baby sister (see below)!}
{Sarah and her mom's best friend went and had some photos done with a special tree planted for her mom}
{Have you jumped on a trampoline in a wedding dress?! Before this picture was taken, we have a bunch of Sarah on the trampoline with a bunch of young boys bouncing her around}
{The rain clouds came...and went. No umbrellas were needed! Phew!}
{There is a wonderful reason why we visited, and ate at, the Sumas McDonalds. Years ago, back in high school, Daryl and Sarah went to this McDonalds together. Sarah had heard that Daryl was going to ask her to be his girlfriend. Daryl said, `I have a question for you....' (intending to ask her out) `....do you like my shoe?'. Hence, the shoe pose below:) In the end, he did actually ask her out.}
{Don't you love the bouquet?!}

{Sarah had an anklet with a picture of her and her mom on it. At the end of the portrait session, we went to the cemetery to take a few candids of Sarah placing her bouquet at her mother's grave. It was extremely beautiful and intimate. We have some special pictures of it, but I think it's a bit too personal too share. But, you can picture it. I was honoured to be there and I was a bit emotional...the anniversary of my mom's death had been the day before. I think it was so special. I love that Sarah didn't avoid the fact that her mom wasn't there, but, she did what she could to include and honour her mom. }

Sarah and Daryl, thank you so much for including us in your special day. We hope that you are having a super fabulous honeymoon right now! All the best to you as you continue your lives together in Ontario. Congratulations!
