Lyra & Logan | Abbotsford Family Photos

It's always such a compliment when a family books us year after year, I love it! You can see them last year, right here:) Logan just turned one so it was a perfect time for some new family photos. Lyra was a lot more into it this time and Logan wasn't so sure. We spent some time walking around Clayburn Village and this is what we got...
{I love brick. So, we discovered that the candy shop is actually a private residence as well! Oops! Guess that's the last time I'll take pictures at that door.}

{Logan is pretty laid back and the slightest raising of the corner of his lips counts as a smile for this guy:)}

{There were quite a few pictures of Lyra showing sisterly love. I think these were two of the many funny ones. Could be in a wedding slideshow one day:)}
{With the kids back in the van, we just took a few pictures of Pam and Nolan in the giant field beside them. Always need to get pictures of mom and dad together!}

Pam and Nolan, it's always good to hang out with your family. I love that we are in the same place in life and it's just easy to just be together, you know? Thanks for having me capture some moments in time of your family!

Kyle & Lindsay | Pitt Lake Wedding Photos

Kyle and Lindsay are the ones that had a gorgeous engagement session at Granville Island. I loved it and it is still one of my favourites. As a recap, Kyle is an old student of ours and Lindsay is his beautiful bride who actually is good friends with our last bride, Erica. It was a wonderful day and we were so happy to be part of it!

I started out at Lindsay's place with all of her beautiful bridesmaids. Gary met up with the guys before they headed on over to the church. Enjoy!

{The two ring bearers were adorable. They held hands and pulled each other down the aisle:) Check out Lindsay's nervous excitement. I remember when Gary and I got married, the walk down the aisle was the most stressful part. I asked my mom to tell me a joke right beforehand and then walking down the aisle, I couldn't even look at Gary.}
{Lindsay was a bit emotional during the vows:}

{Kyle dipped Lindsay for their kiss:)}

{Husband and wife! Then, it was off to Fleetwood Gardens for the family photos. Perfect spot with a lot of greenery and shade. I don't usually show family photos but here are a few cute ones.}

{We then went to Pitt Lake for the remainder of the photos. I'll try not to include too many! It was overcast for most of it, which was perfect. There were some moments of blinding sunshine but other than that, it was great!}

{You can see the guys personalities in these photos. While editing the photos, I kept saying to Gary, `What are they trying to do here?':)}

{I do have a nice one of the groomsmen holding Lindsay but there were a bunch of great funny ones:)}
{This lookout tower is perfect for a bit more diversity in the photos. It also provided some great shade:)}

{The guys are showing how their bright white shirts don't match Kyle's ivory one. They were all supposed to be ivory. In the end, it's barely noticeable:)}

{And then it was off to the reception...}

{Congratulations to Kyle and Lindsay! Thank you for having us share your day with you. You guys are a wonderful couple and it's obvious how much you guys love and know each other. Hope you are enjoying the nice, long honeymoon!! All the best to you in the years to come!}

Ayva, Livia & Noah | White Rock Family Session

I knew Cara years ago when we worked at the same school. She had moved to France (pretty cool!) and had three kids, but now they are back in BC. When I saw her, it was like we still saw each other regularly. Sometimes the wonderful world of the internet really does help you keep in touch. Maybe it's also that we both have wild young kids, it makes it easier to relate!

We had an early-ish morning session and the kids were full of energy already! We had planned for an outfit change midway but I think they were content the way they were. I have some wonderful outtakes of this family but maybe I'll just leave it for them:)

I tried to be a little fun with the picture layouts for the first two but then found that it was taking a bit too much time and maybe when there are so many photos, you kind of glance over them and don't actually look at each one. You know? Feedback is appreciated!

Okay, back to this cute family, and starting off with Noah, the soon to be one year old! Check out his lashes.
{Ayva was loving the flowers. What a great little spot at White Rock!}

{Livia wasn't so sure about the camera, me, and staying clean:) However, we did get a few. So cute.}
{I know these are so colourful but I do think they look nice in some black and white as well. Love Ayva's eyes.}
{Above, `Who wants ice cream?'}

{I know Livia doesn't look the happiest in the photo above, but it's life, it's the interactions. She then popped the top off of that dandelion and threw it away. I love her spunk. Can you see Noah's foot? He didn't want it to touch the grass:)

Cara, so great to see you again and to meet your whole family. Henri, it wasn't too painful, right?! You two have some cute kiddos!

Three Generations | South Surrey Family Photos

I love celebrating generations of families and it was extra wonderful being able to do it at their home. Alison and Young have a beautiful yard and I'm so glad that the weather cooperated as we had to postpone our original session.

Christian and Rebecca did a great job having their photos taken and if they could have, they probably would have had Candy (the cute dog!) in every photo as well. Enjoy.
{A few photos of the grandparents...}

{Just Alison and Young...}
{The kids got their instruments out and started playing. I could probably just take pictures of that for an hour, it was so beautiful. I love seeing and capturing people doing what they love. It sounded amazing, thank you.}
{Go Canucks Go!}

{Alison and Young, it was great getting to know you and realizing all the little connections we have. You have a beautiful family (Candy included!) and a great yard.}
