Brothers | Fort Langley Session

These were taken on a sunny (but cold!) day in November, awesome! Jas (their mom) contacted me about having a few pictures taken of her boys together. The younger one was going to be getting braces a week after this session so she wanted some photos done before that. Arjun and Navin were so well behaved and respectful, I can only hope my boys respond to photos so well at that age!
It was just a mini session and here are some photos of two handsome young men...

It was nice to meet you all! Next time, mom and dad, you might need to get in some photos too:)

Amy | Family Studio Session

Amy visited our studio last year when she was just 3 months old and look at her now:) She still has those big beautiful blue eyes and a smile that can just melt you. Amy is a vocal little girl who knows what she does want (to ride on toys or have shoulder rides) and does not want (to get changed or sit down with mom and dad)! Here are just a couple of photos from our mini session together...

Neil and Carlie, it was great to see you again. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas together as a family!

Trish at 35 Weeks | Maternity Session

I did a mini session for my little sister about a month ago and you can check it out here. Then, this past weekend I had another mini session with her and her husband Steve. Being that Steve LOVES photos so much (note sarcasm) we limited it to just 20 minutes. The priority was hands on belly. Check! Also, just like their wedding day, Steve had some good injuries to his fingers, but nothing that photoshop can't fix:) And yes, there were a lot of pictures with the white background but I'm a little partial to the black background ones so those are the ones I will post for now...

Steve and Trish, I'm totally looking forward to meeting my little niece!!

Caleb & Keenan | Port Moody Family Photos

I met this beautiful family about three years ago and this is my third time photographing them. You can see the last ones here. I always enjoy catching up with Jonathon and Elise and just seeing how the boys have grown and changed.

We met up at Old Orchard Park in Port Moody and walked to the cool old Mill Site there. Unfortunately it was pretty cold which made little Keenan a little unhappy. We did get some smiles out of him though and here are some photos from our time together:)

Jonathon and Elise, you are such patient and loving parents with two beautiful kids. Always great to see you!

Angie & Steve | Deer Lake Engagement Session

Angie and Steve had the perfect fall weather for their engagement session at the end of October. It was a great way to get to know them better as their April wedding isn't that far off! They were a bit nervous about their session, which is so normal, but I think they did such a great job!

Angie and Steve actually went to high school together and were in the same art class. Steve always got in trouble for talking with her because he wasn't as good at multitasking:) They didn't meet up again until years later and look where they are now! All the best to you two as you prepare for your wedding in 2012!

Baby Hayden | Newborn Session

I spent a lovely morning with Natalie and Logan and their newest little brother, Hayden. I first photographed them last fall and look at them now! Mom and dad were just wanting pictures of the kiddos so I met them at their home and we used their yard, bedroom and playroom. Natalie and Logan have a lot of love for their little brother, that's for sure. Kisses and hugs all around! Enjoy:)

And, I know there are four very similar pictures below but it took him over an hour to fall asleep so then we didn't want to move him at all:) Sleeping babies are just too cute!

{My friend Melissa made the hat below. If you are interested in something like it, you can contact her at as her website isn't quite up yet.}

Welcome baby Hayden, it was nice to meet you:) Congratulations Brian and Amanda!

Claire Bear Turns One | Family Session

What a pleasure it was to photograph this Little Bear! Claire was turning one the next day and we had a mini session to commemorate it. We met up at Tynehead Park which is a place that Dave and Estelle love to go walking at. Even though it was 4pm (which is not usually the best time for little ones), and a little chilly, Claire was super happy.

This session makes me smile, as you can just see how smitten mom and dad are with her. Also, you can see her joyful nature throughout. I hope it makes you smile too.

{The bear below was actually Dave's when he was little. So sweet!!}
{I think the one below was taken right before we momentarily lost the balloon. Good thing Dave can jump!}
{The doll above was Estelle's when she was little. And below, so very, very sweet.}

Happy first birthday Claire Bear!

Drew at Jericho Beach | Family Session

This was a beautiful fall day session. Jericho Beach is gorgeous year round, but during the fall? Wow! David is actually Gary's cousin so I was excited to have this opportunity to get to know their family better, and especially spend some time with Drew. Although we only live about an hour apart, we rarely see each other. I won't say the last time I saw them before the session:)

Drew is an independent little fellow who is 20 months old. He just wanted to wander around, be thrown in the air, snuggle with grandpa (so great to have the grandparents along to help!), run to the water, and look at the boats. I love that I was able to capture some of his signing in the photos, it adds a whole other dimension to see the words in the photos, if that makes sense. Enjoy some cute family time with David, Karla and Drew in a mini session. Oh, and a guest appearance from grandpa.

{Below they are signing `cold' because Drew wanted to go run into the ocean:)}
{There was a bug on David's shirt so Drew is signing `bug'.}

David and Karla, I'm so glad it worked out to meet up and capture your family in photos. Drew is beautiful and like a lot of almost two year old boys, quite a workout:) I really enjoyed spending time with you all.
