Jantina's Maternity Pictures Part I

I have 4 sisters and my middle sister, Jantina, is pregnant with her first. I asked her if I could take pictures of her twice during her pregnancy...at 6 months and at 9. It's always so funny talking to someone at 6 months because they think they are huge (I said the same thing) and little do they know how much their body can grow from this point on:) I just took a few pictures of Jani, Doug and belly in our studio and also, um, at a local school?! So random. I'm excited to take pictures of her belly in a couple more months, and obviously, I am very excited to meet my little niece or nephew! I wonder if she'll let me take pictures at the birth......

Doug is such a wonderful father already. He can find the baby very easily and enjoys talking to the little one. Yes Jan, you are wonderful too:) These guys are going to be fun parents. Yippee, I'm going to be an auntie again!!

Rocky Point Park

This very brave and adorable family ventured out, in the windy zero degree weather, to get some family photos. Rocky Point Park in Port Moody is so awesome and I can't wait to do a photo shoot there again. We spent half the time taking pictures down by the water and at a very cool train that they have there, and then, we went back to their house to warm up. Caleb was truly in his element with his Thomas the Train table and in a normal temperature! Here are some pictures of this family, mostly bundled up, and their dog too!

Thank You

We would just like to say thank you to all of those that we have had the privilege of photographing this year. We hope you have a fabulous Christmas and all the best to you in 2010!
*Note: I know you're not all in here...some family groups didn't have many vertical pictures:)

Studio Family Photos

We had done Julie-Ann and Thomas' engagement photos back in October and Julie-Ann decided that it was time to get some family photos done before Christmas. Being that the weather is terrible, we fit 5 adults into the studio for a mini session. The goal was a good family shot and I think we got a few! Here are some pictures...I did include some goofy ones, I hope that's okay!

Caden

You may remember that 4 months ago, I was able to capture the first few moments of Caden's life. Well, here are some pictures of cute little/big Caden now! This guy came out sucking on his hand and has not stopped. We were able to pry it out for a bit, and this is what we got. He did such a great job with the camera and various flashes in his face, what a natural:) Here we go....super adorable Caden, whom I love, at 4 months old!

Makena and Koen

We got to take studio pictures for Gary's cousin Tricia, her husband, and their two super adorable kids; Makena (2 years old) and Koen (2 months old). I probably could've posted 100 pictures of Makena alone but decided that I have probably posted more than enough! Here are some pictures of the lovely family!

Olivia

I love this little girl!! Olivia is 2 years old and full of spunk and energy. She makes me smile A LOT. Mom and dad wanted just a few pictures of their beautiful little girl for Christmas cards. There were a few funny ones where she was twirling around with her hat over her face but I'll leave those out for now. What a goofball:) Here are just a few......

Lisa's Maternity Shoot

Lisa came with her husband, two of her kids, and a 35 week belly. Her 22 month old son was LOVING the baby belly! The pictures were a little sexier than what I've normally done, so I'm showing some of the tamer ones:) Lisa came with tons of ideas and a suitcase full of outfits...I love how some people come with what they want in mind and others say `Do whatever you want!'...so versatile! This is her fourth pregnancy, doesn't she look a little too amazing?! Congratulations you guys. I hope the last few weeks go by very smoothly!

Family of Six

On a cold, rainy November morning, we met up with this beautiful family. They braved the rain in Fort Langley for a bit and then we went back to their house to get some more photos. All of the kids are very much in love with their newest little brother, Malakai, who is just one month old. What a loving, patient, and busy little family they have! Here are some pictures from the day....

Riley

We went to Derby Reach (which still has TONS of awesome coloured leaves) to get some pictures of Riley, aka Mr. Personality. Riley is 14 months old and a bundle of energy and cuteness. He is also the youngest son of good friends of ours. There were really no set up shots with this guy, it was him running around for half an hour and me chasing him:) Fortunately there were a lot of airplanes and tug boats to keep him entertained. I've never taken pictures of just one person in a shoot so there may not appear to have much variety but there is! Riley is the youngest of 3 boys and so this was a special time set aside to get some pictures of just him. Check out all of his facial expressions. I feel like each picture could have a fun caption with it...

We love you Riley!

Julie-Ann and Thomas' Engagement Photos

I think we caught the last wonderful day of October and Campbell Valley Park was looking amazing. I taught Julie-Ann way back in the day and Gary coaches her brother in basketball, so, there are some great connections. It was a great chance to get to know Thomas and see these guys together. They will be getting married next May which is definitely a popular month to get married in 2010! Congratulations you guys!

All the best to you two as you prepare for your lives together!

Lisa and Tim's Wedding Day

On a beautiful fall afternoon, Lisa and Tim celebrated their special day. They had their photos taken before the ceremony which is always a little more relaxing and it's nice to be able to capture that moment when they first see eachother. The fall leaves were absolutely amazing and the sky was super blue. You never would've known there was a huge rainstorm the night before. Whenever you photograph a wedding, you feel so connected to the couple. You are following them, the entire day, throughout one of the most important days of their lives. I was just so happy for these guys that they found eachother and we are wishing them a lifetime of happiness together! Here are some pictures from throughout the day....
