Kevin & Lindsey's Engagement Photos

This post is exciting for many reasons but I'll give you two!

1. Kevin works with Gary so it's always fun to do photos for those we know and love!

2. Our new logo is unveiled!! Thank you to Frances Eden Creative. We are also getting a new header and other fun updates but I just couldn't wait for it all! Don't you love it?! Simple but exactly what we wanted without knowing how to get there.

On to the engagement shoot. The weather behaved and we had a great time wandering around Fort Langley. We also discovered a cool new area on Brae Island (see pictures by the tree!) so that always spices things up. Kevin seemed pretty into the photos (sometimes it's a little painful for the guys) and had some of his own ideas...some good...some not so much:) Lindsey, it was great getting to know you and we look forward to your fall wedding!

{I should point out why there are two engagement rings! Kevin proposed with the ring on the bottom while they could save up for the ring on top:) Lucky girl with two special rings!}

David & Laura's Wedding Day

Woohoo!! Finally posting pictures of David and Laura's big day. It was a fabulous day for them and for us. I think I taught the entire bridal party so that always makes things a little more fun:) Laura is super tall (6'1") so I was climbing up on chairs and benches to get pictures...good thing Gary has height on his side! So, the award for this wedding is given by Gary. It is `The Most Creative Emcees!'. At the reception they had a ton of costume changes and had a lot of trophies to hand out to David (okay, they were his own trophies). I could also give Laura and award for having the least tired looking eyes (when you edit a billion pictures, you really notice these things!) but that wouldn't be very exciting. Please enjoy a look at their day...you'll also see a location I've always wanted to shoot at!

{We met up with David and the boys at the church. The groomsmen were giving him some words of `wisdom'. }

{There was some laughter as David said `I do!' before the pastor was done asking his questions...someone was excited to get married!}

{After the family photos we went to our first location....Stewart Farms. The girls had a shoe change and sported some comfy pink flip flops for the rest of the day.}

{And then it was off to super bright and busy Crescent Beach!}

{I'm so glad we got to shoot at this location on the way to the reception! Wouldn't it be great on a rainy day? It's under the King George overpass.}

{Just a quick pit stop before it was off to the reception where yummy cupcakes and entertaining emcees awaited them!}

Congratulations Laura and David! Thank you for having us be part of your day, we had a lot of fun! We hope that you had an awesome honeymoon on your cruise.

Brown Eyed Beauties

Good thing I had my running shoes on for this family shoot! This family of 4 energetic kids kept me busy:) The goal was to get individual shots of each kid (with an emphasis on the little guy) and a family shot. So, this is what I got! Don't you love those big brown eyes?!

It was great meeting you...I think your kids would get along fabulously with mine!!

Andrew & Charis' Engagement Photos

Even though the weather was wild this week, it somehow managed to work out wonderfully for every shoot I had. I always let the couple choose their locations and guess where these two wanted to go? Campbell Valley Park! I had three shoots there this week:) They recommended a beautiful field of lupins which was a new location there for me and resulted in one of my favourite photos. Andrew is into photography as well which means that he has a lot of ideas and Charis is super sweet and willing to do anything. By trying anything, I mean look at the photos of them lying down in the wet field of buttercups, its in the black and white towards the end. Here we go...don't you love that first photo? I do!

Madeleine

Naomi came by for a mini photo shoot to celebrate the arrival of baby Madeleine. This sweet darling is one month old and as cute as ever! They attend our church so I look forward to seeing this little one grow up:) Here are just a few.....

Beautiful Bea

Arusha is the momma who won the facebook contest for a free mini session. I wanted to get a few pictures in my newest etsy purchase which you will see below, modeled by Bea. Just a few things about this session. First, I love Arusha's name. When I climbed Mt.Kilimanjaro, we stayed in the town of Arusha, Tanzania. Good memories! Secondly, Bea is such an adorable, laid back girl. How could anyone not want to take pictures of her?! Thirdly, I think the tutu looks pretty darn cute on her:)

Arusha, it was great to see you again! You have yourself a very lovely daughter.
