Kyle & Lindsay | Pitt Lake Wedding Photos

Kyle and Lindsay are the ones that had a gorgeous engagement session at Granville Island. I loved it and it is still one of my favourites. As a recap, Kyle is an old student of ours and Lindsay is his beautiful bride who actually is good friends with our last bride, Erica. It was a wonderful day and we were so happy to be part of it!

I started out at Lindsay's place with all of her beautiful bridesmaids. Gary met up with the guys before they headed on over to the church. Enjoy!

{The two ring bearers were adorable. They held hands and pulled each other down the aisle:) Check out Lindsay's nervous excitement. I remember when Gary and I got married, the walk down the aisle was the most stressful part. I asked my mom to tell me a joke right beforehand and then walking down the aisle, I couldn't even look at Gary.}
{Lindsay was a bit emotional during the vows:}

{Kyle dipped Lindsay for their kiss:)}

{Husband and wife! Then, it was off to Fleetwood Gardens for the family photos. Perfect spot with a lot of greenery and shade. I don't usually show family photos but here are a few cute ones.}

{We then went to Pitt Lake for the remainder of the photos. I'll try not to include too many! It was overcast for most of it, which was perfect. There were some moments of blinding sunshine but other than that, it was great!}

{You can see the guys personalities in these photos. While editing the photos, I kept saying to Gary, `What are they trying to do here?':)}

{I do have a nice one of the groomsmen holding Lindsay but there were a bunch of great funny ones:)}
{This lookout tower is perfect for a bit more diversity in the photos. It also provided some great shade:)}

{The guys are showing how their bright white shirts don't match Kyle's ivory one. They were all supposed to be ivory. In the end, it's barely noticeable:)}

{And then it was off to the reception...}

{Congratulations to Kyle and Lindsay! Thank you for having us share your day with you. You guys are a wonderful couple and it's obvious how much you guys love and know each other. Hope you are enjoying the nice, long honeymoon!! All the best to you in the years to come!}

Ayva, Livia & Noah | White Rock Family Session

I knew Cara years ago when we worked at the same school. She had moved to France (pretty cool!) and had three kids, but now they are back in BC. When I saw her, it was like we still saw each other regularly. Sometimes the wonderful world of the internet really does help you keep in touch. Maybe it's also that we both have wild young kids, it makes it easier to relate!

We had an early-ish morning session and the kids were full of energy already! We had planned for an outfit change midway but I think they were content the way they were. I have some wonderful outtakes of this family but maybe I'll just leave it for them:)

I tried to be a little fun with the picture layouts for the first two but then found that it was taking a bit too much time and maybe when there are so many photos, you kind of glance over them and don't actually look at each one. You know? Feedback is appreciated!

Okay, back to this cute family, and starting off with Noah, the soon to be one year old! Check out his lashes.
{Ayva was loving the flowers. What a great little spot at White Rock!}

{Livia wasn't so sure about the camera, me, and staying clean:) However, we did get a few. So cute.}
{I know these are so colourful but I do think they look nice in some black and white as well. Love Ayva's eyes.}
{Above, `Who wants ice cream?'}

{I know Livia doesn't look the happiest in the photo above, but it's life, it's the interactions. She then popped the top off of that dandelion and threw it away. I love her spunk. Can you see Noah's foot? He didn't want it to touch the grass:)

Cara, so great to see you again and to meet your whole family. Henri, it wasn't too painful, right?! You two have some cute kiddos!

Three Generations | South Surrey Family Photos

I love celebrating generations of families and it was extra wonderful being able to do it at their home. Alison and Young have a beautiful yard and I'm so glad that the weather cooperated as we had to postpone our original session.

Christian and Rebecca did a great job having their photos taken and if they could have, they probably would have had Candy (the cute dog!) in every photo as well. Enjoy.
{A few photos of the grandparents...}

{Just Alison and Young...}
{The kids got their instruments out and started playing. I could probably just take pictures of that for an hour, it was so beautiful. I love seeing and capturing people doing what they love. It sounded amazing, thank you.}
{Go Canucks Go!}

{Alison and Young, it was great getting to know you and realizing all the little connections we have. You have a beautiful family (Candy included!) and a great yard.}

Erica & Aaron | Wedding Photos

Erica and Aaron. May 21st. A super popular wedding date, that's for sure! We were asked to do three weddings on that day so I think the long weekend was a very popular choice. I've known Erica for years as we attended the same church and I also taught her back in the day. She was even a lovely TA for me, thanks Erica! You might recognize these two from a wedding party that they were in just a few months ago; Justin and Alicia (who were now in their wedding party!). This spring we have had the wildest weather, but for their day, although it rained in the morning, it behaved in the afternoon. Phew!

{I started at Erica's house while they were getting ready. As Erica was actually the last one to have her hair and makeup done, she ended up having both done pretty much at the same time. Kim did a fabulous job on her hair, as usual!}

{I love mirror shots while getting ready, they are my favourite. I'm always looking around for a mirror or two. Gary met up with the guys who were getting ready at Aaron's place. Their morning was a little different as they were doing some skeet shooting. However, they cleaned up all nice as you can see below:)}

{It was then off to Ladner CRC where the ceremony was taking place. Their sweet little ring bearer pulled the flower girl in a wagon, down the aisle, to start off the ceremony.}

{Husband and wife!! Then we went to Crescent Beach were we did the majority of the photos. Thankfully it was overcast so there were actually very few people there:)}
{I loved Erica's bouquet. The bridesmaids each had a different, solid coloured bouquet that matched the various colours of Erica's. You'll see what I mean below.}

{Love that tree. Crescent Beach is great for a variety of shots in such a small area.}
{The picture below totally reminds me of a Friends episode or something. Feeling the love of a group hug! Not sure if her brother, Nico, was feeling the love:)}

{So, you know how you can get a shot of the groomsmen lifting the bride, check out this one...}
{One of my favourite shots is the one below, and yes, it's Gary's.}
{We then went up the road to Stewart Farms which is always great if you have an extra 20 minutes or so. The orchard was full of trees that were blossoming, it was gorgeous. Erica, you two looked AMAZING and super happy.}
{See, the orchard is beautiful. So romantic.}

{Had to get some farm type equipment for the Smithers boy!}
{And then it was off to Northview Golf Course. They actually gave the bride and groom a golf cart to ride in and another one for Gary and I. I think the guys enjoyed that a whole lot and could have spent a lot more time on there if we didn't have family photos to do!}
{The beautiful garden below is where we did the family photos, so nice!}
{And then, reception time!}
{Lots of laughter and some kissing...}
{Some games we've never seen before..hence, the laughter!!}
{And, a whole lot of love.}
{Erica and Aaron, congratulations. The countdown has been completed and you're now married! I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon and that you are settling in nicely to married life. Thank you so much for having us along on your big day! Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for you two.}

The V Family | Extended Family Photos

These are just a taste of the photos of a lovely couple with their five kids and their entire families. That's a whole lot of people! I've known this family my whole life and they are some really wonderful people. Extended family sessions are a bit different because there isn't a whole lot of time to really capture each individual family, but, I think I got a great shot of each family and an entire group shot (not shown) with everyone looking good:)

We met in this gorgeous yard of a family connection that they have. It was so incredibly beautiful and such a dream. I definitely wouldn't mind living there! Enjoy.

{And the youngest grandchild, who will make his/her appearance in about 10 weeks:))}
{Elia is giving her baby cousin a kiss:)}

You have such a beautiful family, inside and out. I'm so thankful that the weather behaved and seriously, all the kids were amazing! Parents, you were good too:)
