Rachel & Andrew | Studio Maternity Session
Rachel and Andrew are anticipating the arrival of baby #3 in just a few short weeks. I can't believe that Asher and Ian are going to be big brothers so soon! The wonderful thing about having a studio in our basement is that if the weather is terrible (which seems to be the case so much throughout January-March), we can do sessions there. The kids are warm and cozy and have a lot of toys to stay busy with while mom and dad have their photos taken:)
You might remember their extended family photos from exactly a year ago here. I hope you enjoy the photos of Rachel's 36 week belly and her beautiful family! I can't wait to see who's in there in just a few weeks!!!

Jacob | Fort Langley Family Session
People often ask what is the best age to have their kids photos taken and really, the answers is: any time! I love the newborns, the 6-8 month babies that can start to sit on their own, the crawlers, the walkers, the big kids...they're all good:) Being that I lost someone close to me (my mom), I am a big advocate of celebrating family at any time possible. I think photos are a great way to create memories and to remember those special moments in our lives.
On to Jacob. Wow, what an adorable 8 month old. He was pretty easy going and had the cutest grin ever. And seriously, those eyes! GORGEOUS. Whenever he was a little less than happy, mom or dad put him on their shoulders and the grin was back:) We just spent some time wandering around Fort Langley together and capturing them as a family. It was overcast and a bit drizzly at the end but it worked out perfectly!
Can you see in the bottom left picture how funny Jacob thinks it is to pull on his daddy's ear?:) Lael and Steve, it was great spending time with you three and seriously, that son of yours is beautiful!

Denise & Nico | Maternity Session
Last weekend, I met up with this cute couple who are expecting their first baby in just a few more weeks. Denise came super prepared with a `few' outfits and props and Nico came with a great attitude and smile. Perfect combo!
We did half of the session in studio and half in the great outdoors. We have a few parks just blocks from our house so that allows time for both. Denise and Nico, I had a great time with you two and I'm looking forward to meeting that little one next month!

Nico & Denise | Maternity Session Sneak Peek
I had a wonderful maternity session with Nico and Denise this weekend. They came seriously prepared with some awesome wardrobe changes:) I will be working on their photos this week but here's just one of them that I liked. Yay for beautiful blue skies!
